Sunday 9 June 2019 (07:00 -08:00)
Emotions are sources of wisdom, they inform us about how our life is going and about how our communities are doing. Emotions reveal our interconnectedness with everything - both animate and inanimate.
Practicing Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity we cultivate healing emotional responses to the vicissitudes of life instead of relying on habitual emotional reactions and eventually getting entangled by them.
The first approach comes from an open heart, dissolves barriers and releases the brilliant wisdom that lies in all of our emotions ; the second erects a painful subject-object duality and seperates us from everything - both animate and inanimate.
When times are rough it is up to us to take responsibilty for what we want to strengthen in our lives.
The six-day programme offers deep training in the traditional contemplative practice of The Four Immeasurables, embedded in the cool shade of Shamatha practice, dialogue exercises and silent walks in the beautiful landscape of Dechen Chöling.
'Peace between countries must rest on the solid foundation of love between individuals'.
